Canada Post – strike

June 21, 2011 at 7:42 am 1 comment

An ongoing labor dispute between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers has escalated to a full lockout. Canada Post has announced that, effective June 15th, 2011, mail will not be accepted or delivered across Canada until further notice.

The lockout impacts all shipments to and from Canada handled by Canada Post, as well as shipments into Canada.

Unfortunately, this means that I will not be able to ship out orders via Canada Post until the dispute has reached a settlement.  Courier shipping is available, but please be advised that this method usually costs between $15 – $20+ depending on destination.  Alternately, I can still process any orders and will ensure that the items purchased are reserved and will be ready to ship immediately once the mail service resumes.

Thanks so much for your patience, and fingers crossed that it won’t last long!
🙂
